Ideal Images


Ideal Images consists of photographs of industrially manufactured picture frames and the example images they contain. These are printed at their original size and presented in hand-built wooden frames. The example images perform a dual function: they serve as placeholders while also defining what kind of image is considered worthy of framing. They are designed to be discarded and forgotten immediately after the product is unpacked—yet they subtly show us what a "frame-worthy" family looks like or what qualifies as a proper snapshot.
